My devblog #07 Finally, code

January 19, 2026

The whole rush of moving and the first semester is finally over, so I was able to get back to working on my blog. We are already in a new year and I will be adopting the song “Work” by ATEEZ as my mantra—after all, I really have to “lock in.”

I already had the entire design finished, with the exception of the “About Us” page, which I still haven’t been able to settle on a design that completely pleases me… However, I won’t let myself get stuck in the initial stages; I have to move forward. Better to have something than nothing at all; I won’t go back to old habits of never making it past the planning phase.

That being said, I have already completed the HTML and CSS for the homepage! It is basically identical, I just slightly increased the boxes in the “other projects” section to draw more attention, since I felt they were too small and had less prominence than the “latest entries,” which shouldn’t be the case since showcasing my projects is the most important thing.

Speaking of that issue, some doubts arose regarding the effectiveness of this blog’s design. I really like it, but I don’t know if it’s expository enough for the right things. Either way, I will continue along this line. This blog is nothing more than a developer blog that will be linked to my main portfolio. I want it to be an insight into and a documentation of my process, not necessarily a showcase of my work; if I come up with a better design, I can always change it.

After I finish this blog, I will start planning my portfolio, and I will record everything here.

Next, I will probably do the page with all the projects and I should finish that in a short time—an hour at most. By the end of this week, I want to have finished the HTML and CSS for all the pages, and perhaps have already created some basic functionalities in JavaScript.
